Class Descriptions

Preschool Tumble (45 min)

This class has no prerequisites and is for children ages 3-5. The athletes will be working on basic body control, baby handstands, forward and backward rolls, bridges, cartwheels and round offs.

Basic (55 min)

This class has no prerequisites and is geared towards athletes with little to no previous tumbling experience. Athletes in the Basic class will learn:  Basic body control, Lunges, L Kick, Handstand, Forward and Backwards Roll, Left Cartwheel, Right Cartwheel, Round off, Front limber, Bridge, Backbends, Backbend kick over 

 

Walkover (55 min)

To register for the walkover class athletes must have mastered the entire required basic tumbling skills and graduate from the basic class. Athletes in Walkover tumble will learn and perfect:  Handstands, Right Cartwheel, Left Cartwheel, Round off, Back Walkovers, Front Walkovers, Cartwheel Back Walkovers, Valdez

 

Back handspring (55 min)

To register for the backhand spring class athletes must have mastered all the required skills being taught in the walkover class, and will learn:

Standing back handspring, Round off back handspring, Back walkover back handspring, Front walkover round off back handspring, Back handspring step out round off back handspring

 

 Tuck and up (55 min)

To register for the back tuck class athletes must have mastered all the required skills being taught in the back handspring class, and will learn: Round Off Back Handspring Tuck, Toe Touch Back Handspring, Multiple Jump Multiple Back Handspring, Front Walkover, Round Off Back Handspring Tuck, Punch Fronts, Back Handspring Step Out through to Tuck, Standing back tuck

Flex (55 min)

There are no prerequisites for this class. This class is designed for athletes that want to increase their strength and flexibility. This class will focus on increasing flexibility in all splits, shoulders, and back. This class will help athletes achieve the necessary body positions for various tumbling skills, as well as allowing flyers the ability to achieve the body positions in cheer!
